      <image:title>INFO - Ryan Irish</image:title>
<image:caption>currently enjoys life in the sunny south in Dallas, Texas, with his wife, Teresa, and their dog Joey; but his roots are in the Northeast, growing up in Connecticut and living 12 years in New York City. Ryan creates art made from found wood and discarded materials. He feels strongly that his purpose is to toil with tool and brush, battling to get what’s inside, out. Visions of his future works come to him long before they take physical form, and he labors to breathe life into these fleeting images.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Seeker of Solace 2014 Ink, acrylic, and driftwood on wood panel 19" x 24" One summer I was hiking around a nearby lake, collecting driftwood to use for sculptures, when I decided to sit down in a quiet spot to cool off. After sitting for a while I began to feel different. I felt lighter and a sense of joy entered my heart. I suppose I had a spiritual experience in nature. That moment led directly to this piece, and a unique style of art.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Chaos Doodle Marker pen on Paper "Chaos Doodle" is a contour drawing. A single line connects all the characters in this piece. To create this drawing, I used three translucent markers (cyan, magenta, yellow) that I blended to create the rest of the colors. (orange, green, and purple) As a finishing touch, I used black to define the contour line. BUY PRINT</image:caption>

I began splashing paint onto paper and then looking for shapes in the random splatters. Although it took less than two hours to conjure up, "Ride the Wolf" remains one of my favorites from that year. In my interpretation of this concept, four pillars rise and intersect. They represent the bond of a group of people joined together. The sculpture itself is made from cedar driftwood, and is mounted on reclaimed lumber. For this small piece, the design of the base was as important to me as the sculpture itself.</image:caption>
